Well this is another large render from space, im trying to work with clouds atm, figuring out how to make them as real as possible.

A planet far far away

Render time just over 3 hours.

I was looking around to see if anyone had made a rendition of the planet named Far Away from the Commonwealth Saga of books (Pandora's Star and Judas Unchained}. I doubt it was intentional, but this render is damn close. The planet has three of the largest mountains in the known galaxy (In this scy-fy book) arranged in a triangle formation. They are each tall enough to extend out of the planets thin atmosphere. Here you have a render with several mountains fitting that description. Very cool.

Looks like a glacial planet in an Ice Age, rather than a cloud covered one - I quite like the result. Don't really know enough to critique so apologies

You should make the mountains smaller, right now they are too big. Also raise the ceiling on the atmosphere, it's too low (atmosphere node - "ceiling"). You are probably going to have to adjust the haze and blue sky height too. The last thing you can do is soften the clouds a bit, lower the density.

Hi,

Thanks for the comment, i designed this world to have moutains poke out of the small atmosphere, from my understanding there should be no reason to why this couldnt be possible somewhere deep out in space. So yea i purposly made it to look this way.

I wanted the cloud to look thick and fluffy, however it wasnt my intension to make them look like snow which i will take into consideraton next time. This planet is more fantasy the realism "or what we are used to seeing that is" Something different from the norm.

But i will definataly take your sugestion isnto conside3ration for the next planet.

Once again thanks :)
